Recognizing the urgent need to support widows facing economic and social challenges, Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation, in collaboration with World Challenge, organized a comprehensive Widows Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme in Azhi Bisa Community, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.

The initiative provided hands-on training in practical vocational skills such as tailoring, soap-making, and puff-puff production, equipping participants with income-generating abilities. In addition to the skills training, the programme featured a medical outreach where widows received health check-ups and essential medications, addressing immediate healthcare needs.

To further support their emotional and spiritual well-being, the programme included prayer sessions and motivational teachings, fostering hope, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. The presence of key representatives from World Challenge, including Gary Wilkerson, Kelly Wilkerson, and John Bailey, added significant encouragement and global partnership support to the outreach.

The programme also created a platform for widows to connect, share experiences, and build strong support networks, promoting unity and long-term community development.

Beneficiaries: Over 398 widows trained, empowered with vocational skills, and provided with medical and spiritual support.

We are driven by a strong commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals and communities across the continent, with a focus on promoting empowerment, equality, and sustainable development.
