Queen Thomas was only three years old when Islamic terrorists attacked her Christian community in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Queen was shot alongside her parents, both church elders. Her parents were killed, and the attackers left Queen for dead. Miraculously, she survived. A villager found her and took her to safety in Jos. Her gunshot injuries were severe, requiring major reconstructive surgery, including a bone transplant.
Filah’s life changed forever the day Islamic terrorists killed her husband, while he was returning from his farm in Taraba State, Nigeria. Suddenly widowed, she was left to raise their three children alone. Months later, another tragedy struck when their home was demolished, leaving Filah and her children without adequate shelter. With no meaningful support from family or friends, she began selling vegetables simply to survive.
