World Challenge, through its implementing partner RACHAM Empowerment & Humanitarian Foundation, carried out the Widows Free Skill Acquisition & Empowerment Outreach at Appma villages in New Nyanaya, in response to the growing needs of displaced families affected by Economy hardship. Life in the community is marked by hardship, especially for widows who shoulder the responsibility of caring for their families under extremely difficult conditions. During the outreach, over 100 widows were reached with free skill acquisition training, healthcare support, and essential relief materials aimed at restoring dignity, strengthening self-reliance, and improving overall well-being.
Beyond material support, the outreach focused on emotional and spiritual restoration. The team spent time listening to the stories of the widows, offering encouragement, prayers, and hope during a moment of deep vulnerability. This intervention reflects World Challenge’s mission of expressing Christ’s love through practical action, meeting urgent needs while nurturing resilience and renewed purpose. Through this initiative, RACHAM Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to empowering widows and vulnerable communities ensuring they are supported, strengthened, and not forgotten.
