Our Story
Our Roots
RACHAMEHF was born from a profound personal understanding of vulnerability. After losing his father at the age of three, our Executive Director witnessed firsthand the turbulent reality of a household that lost its primary breadwinner. As the eldest child, this early experience of hardship did not result in despair, but rather a lifelong mandate to ensure that no orphan or widow walks their path alone.
Our Evolution: Two Decades of Impact
The foundation of our work is built on over 20 years of consistent, grassroots commitment:
—The Seed (2002): While a student at Kogi State University (now Prince Abubakar Audu University), our founder established Orphans’ Advocate. This peer-support group was designed to instill hope and resilience in fatherless students, using his own journey as a blueprint for survival and success.
—The Commitment (2014): Upon entering the legal profession, our founder institutionalized his giving, pledging a fixed percentage of his legal earnings to provide a vital safety net for widows and orphans.
— The Expansion (2019): By integrating philanthropy with community ministry, he mobilized wider resources to provide targeted financial support and mentorship for underserved youth and vulnerable women.
—The Milestone (2024): To scale this impact, RACHAMEHF was officially registered as a non-profit organization, transitioning from a private mission to a public institution for social change.
