RACHAM Seed Capital Empowerment Programme

To strengthen economic empowerment efforts and support sustainable livelihoods, RACHAM Foundation launched the Seed Capital Empowerment Programme in Garam, Niger State. The initiative was designed to provide financial support to widows who had demonstrated commitment to establishing or expanding small-scale businesses.

Following a selection process, ten widows were awarded seed capital grants of ₦100,000 each to enable them to start or strengthen income-generating ventures. The programme aimed to reduce poverty, encourage entrepreneurship, and improve household financial stability among vulnerable women.

By providing direct financial support, the Foundation empowered beneficiaries to take practical steps toward economic independence and long-term self-sufficiency. The initiative represents a strategic investment in the capacity of widows to create sustainable livelihoods and improve the wellbeing of their families.

Beneficiaries: Ten widows received ₦100,000 each in seed capital support to establish or expand small businesses of their choosing.
