Date: May 2026 | Bwari, Abuja

Details:
As part of its humanitarian response to rising economic hardship and food insecurity, RACHAM Foundation conducted a Food Distribution Programme for widows in Bwari Community. The initiative sought to alleviate hunger and provide immediate relief to vulnerable households facing challenges in meeting their daily nutritional needs.

Beneficiaries received essential food items carefully packaged to support household consumption for several days. The food packages included items like rice, instant noodles, cooking oil etc, helping to reduce financial pressure on widows and their families.

Beyond addressing immediate needs, the intervention demonstrated the Foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations with dignity and compassion. The programme brought encouragement and hope to beneficiaries while helping to improve food security within the community.

Beneficiaries: A total of 241 widows benefited from the food distribution and relief intervention.

We are driven by a strong commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals and communities across the continent, with a focus on promoting empowerment, equality, and sustainable development.
