Date: March 2026 | Azhi-Bisa, Tafa Local Government Area, Niger State

Details:
In response to the healthcare challenges experienced by rural and underserved communities, RACHAM Foundation organized a Free Medical Outreach in Azhi-Bisa Community. The outreach was aimed at improving access to essential healthcare services for widows, vulnerable families, and other community members who often struggle to afford routine medical care.

A team of volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare workers provided free medical consultations, health assessments, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and other vital screenings. Participants received medical advice and treatment recommendations based on their health conditions.

The outreach also included the distribution of free medications prescribed by these medical professionals. Health education sessions were conducted to promote disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, hygiene practices, and early detection of common illnesses. The intervention significantly improved access to healthcare while increasing awareness of preventive health practices within the community.

Beneficiaries: A total of 399 widows and other community members, including women, men, and children, benefited from the outreach.

We are driven by a strong commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals and communities across the continent, with a focus on promoting empowerment, equality, and sustainable development.
